Entry level VmWare cert...it is self paced training and online testing!

VMware Certified Associate 6 – Network Virtualization (VCA6-NV) This is an entry level cert, for those interested in VMware. Know that, in the industry we are in now, desktop support is slowly dying in regards to alot of hardware support. Some companies are even decreasing funds to train. So, they want techs coming in knowning about this stuff. That goes back to me talking about doing for self! Sign up online and take advantage of the free course... Check out this tutorial where you are at it, by the way if you have a colleague, you should all book a space at the library and invite a study group, everyone can learn at the same time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNt4tC8mQWc

Good training resource

I recommend this resource, as Microsoft has tons of self study guides. Best thing to do is install Virtual box, or VmWare on your desktop and practice, practice, practice! There are alot of people that ask where they can get training, my answer, try to do for self. Employers like to hear people who find results on their own: http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/startyourcareer/#fbid=Qdn7QLWIR_z You can sign up for the cost of an email. You reap the benefits at end of the day.

Resume advice

Resume Advice: -Your skillset and goal should be concise and and align directly with the position you are trying to obtain. -Use different words to create depth and avoid constant repetition. -This is the ability to explain what you know and what you are seeking -Most job descriptions repeat the same thing over and over as fillers.
I use teamviewer for some tech support when consulting on my own. I am running it on my Apple Mac, which has an I7, 16 GB of RAM and I use virtualbox for VM's, which has all of my VM's. https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/ I recommend downloading the Elementary OS ISO image and loading it up in a Virtual box. Elementary OS is a linux distribution for beginners. https://elementary.io/

Passed the 98-366 Networking Fundamentals test

This blog is rendered to be a guide to the game. The game of corporate IT infrastructure. I am a consultant in Minnesota. My goal is let people know how to get into the game, and some pointers on the technology trends and changes. I work full time as a Citrix support tech, attend college, and plan to release a book on my experiences in this industry. Feel free to email and comment. The Microsoft MTA certifications are entry level certs to help get a fundamental understanding for networking. You will need to know networking as a backbone for your career. The best track is to get certified with the networking MTA, and move towards the security MTA and then the server MTA certs. When you pass the certificate, after 3 days to a week, Microsoft sends you log info to download your logo and  also your Microsoft certificate. Use this book to pass the tests. Vouchers for the exam can be purchased at www.certiport.com The objectives are here, study them well
